2 Years, 70 lbs

It's been two years since I went vegan. Two and a half since ditching meat. Best decision ever! My cholesterol is AMAZING (my doctor was shocked at how great it is), my A1C is perfectly normal (which as someone with a family history of diabetes is fantastic), and my blood pressure is normal for the first time I can remember (usually it's just a bit above normal). On top of all that I've been able to lose almost 70 lbs without actually trying. No dieting, no counting calories, not stressing about how much I'm eating, and no exercise :) So different from how I thought I needed to be to lose weight. Now I focus on whole foods, plant based, high carb and low fat. I'm eating until I'm full and able to stop. I still have times that I will eat vegan junk food and stop losing weight, sometimes even gain a bit, but overall I'm doing great. I'm super close to being my lowest adult weight and I know that I can easily take it even further. I feel great and I'm ready to take it further. So I'm back on here to start adding workouts to my plan as well as setting some goals. I still don't want to worry about counting calories but I'm considering tracking to keep myself accountable to now eating junk. I haven't decided yet though. I just love how healthy I am and how great I feel. I can't wait to see what it will be like in two more years!
