Happy New Year!

Thursday, January 18, 2018

I realize that January is half over already but this is one of my first entries for the new year. Looking back on 2017 I realized that I had accomplished more goals than what i had set out to as part of my " New Year/ New You " . It has been one year since I had started a new fitness class through my church that has had a great impact on me. If it hadn't been for that, the past year might look a lot different. I am thankful for the fitness instructor or should I say, "Fitness Teacher, Gospel Preacher " as the saying goes. The CO and founder/Author of the program lives in AZ and that is where this gifted gal went for her training. She has inspired me in so many ways. Early on i could see that it was the class for me no matter what the cost is. It opened me up in many ways, Six months into the year I heard about the Bible study that really helped me out. As the author puts it, "you have clean the inside out before you can see the progress on the outside." which is what got me really motivated to say the least. Weighing isn't the most important thing to me ass long as I see progress in myself. My cholesterol is slowly improving and when i stepped on the scales I saw that I had lost 11 lbs. this past year which is a real accomplishment for me since I am barely 5'1"! i have learned to be more open with my family which isn't easy for me. That is a growing progress kind of thing for me. One thing I would love to do is the"Rim to Rim" of the Grand Canyon which is a lofty one for me so hope to start with a 5K for now. This is only the beginning but I will never give up!
