I haven't posted a blog in a while so I thought get a 15 day streak of 10,000 steps would be a great time to start again!
I have had several ups and downs lately, both in my life and in my weight. But I decided that I am going to make 2018 a good year. I didn't make any resolutions other than to focus on the good and let the rest go.
So I have been focusing on the treadmill, for now. I have set a goal to get 10,000 steps a day for 30 days straight. Today is day 15.
On work days in has been easy, but the weekends have been a real effort to get moving. I have to change my thinking. I have such a set routine going during the week, but somehow it doesn't translate to the weekends. Every work day I get up make coffee and get 10-15 minutes on the treadmill before getting DH up and getting off to work (after a shower of course). Then I am on the move at work all day. When I get home, I do my house work and get another 20 - 30 minutes on the treadmill before cooking dinner. Then a little TV and off to bed.
On the weekends, I stay up late and wake up late and down odds and ends before usually getting together with friends in the evenings. I never even think about the treadmill. I need to figure out how to figure out how to make the treadmill part of the routine on the weekend, if I am going to keep this streak up and hit 30 days.
The other thing I have been working on is my coffee addiction. I am trying to switch out one cup of coffee each day for herbal tea. Day 3 for that one. It is much harder for me. I love coffee. I always make sure to get my water, but I still drink coffee all day long. I think it a little much.

I think I will add blogging more to my growing list of things to do to make 2018 a good year.
