Oh, man, am I ever gonna be sore tomorrow. Played wallyball tonight, which is basically volleyball, but in a racketball court, where the walls are in play. So basically, that ball might come at you from any angle, not just where the hitter is smacking it. Given the fact that I haven't played any sort of volleyball in a few years, and nothing extensive in closer to 12-13 years, it meant using motions, movements, stretches that haven''t been used in a while. Plus, just the pains from the ball hitting the hands - I can already feel a couple of spots that are swelling up a bit, and are going to be bruised in the morning.
But you know something, it was a lot of fun. And, as the person I asked indicated that this group's (it was organized via a meetup group) usual volleyball sessions are about that level of competitiveness (I thought I fit in okay, especially for not having played in forever), I might have to go join them on occasion. (now watch me not play volleyball again until 2022)
