I returned to WW meetings today. I need the weekly weigh-ins in person to help keep me accountable. I stay for the meetings. I had signed up last Jan. paying for 5 months in advance which came to $11 a week. I signed up for the same plan today. I don't get to use WW online but I don't need it because I have SP and a journal.
I lost approximately 40 pounds from the beginning of Jan. to the beginning of June 2017. I went on a summer hiatus due to traveling to see family. Once school started back up I was losing with just SP so I kept putting off going back to WW. I joined the 8 Week 2017 Fall Challenge on SP and lost 5% of the weight I had started the challenge with. My total weightloss since Jan. 2017 was approximately 60 pounds. But Christmas set me back a little. Visiting and spending time with family, I let myself slide. Pizza, a few treats, going out to eat, etc.
I knew it was time to get back to taking this lifestyle change seriously rather than continue to allow myself extra portions or higher fat food choices. You, my SP friends, said I can take a little break but I need to get back to making my goals come true. I knew I'd need a big incentive: weighing-in in person and having my weight officially recorded seems to work for me.
Every once in a while I hear a little pearl from other WW members at the meetings. I try to take at least one thing home with me from each meeting.
Today a member told us about the Drizzle Me Skinny website. I haven't had a chance to check it out with more than a glance but it is written by a WW member and has Freestyle recipes from what I hear.
Since November I've been going to the food rescue POWWOW here in AZ about once a month. I get all kinds of veggies and some fruit. So, I've been trying different recipes like spiralized zucchini with chicken, artichokes, kalamata olives. I have all of the ingredients for a recipe with spiralized butternut squash, lentils, and roasted brussels spouts with a balsamic glaze. I'm excited to see if Drizzle Me Skinny has recipes I'd like to try! I saw a recipe in the WW Freestyle booklet with spiralized zucchini, as well as some other recipes I'd like to try.
So, today I am getting serious about losing my last 25 pounds. It would be great if I could get those pounds off by June 1 but if it takes longer, I won't mind. As long as I am heading down instead of up.
