A recap and update..
Well- if I was to recreate a version of Hell and Hades, I would, like Dante, create different levels. And on one level you would have a medical need, and a anonymous bureaucrat from a distant city would have to approve or deny the medically necessary and available treatment. I am in that level of Hell. The insurance has denied my surgery. The provider, my surgeon's office , thinks that it's a simple clerical error. One of the hoops to jump through is a medically managed weigh loss program for a period of 6 months. I started this May 9, with visits to Dr. LaSalle ( arthritis) and Dr. Valley (natureopath, fibro, diabetes, weight). They are in the same office, and because they are, I only weighed in once. So the insurance company is saying it's not meeting the guidelines, because I didn't weigh with Dr. Valley. The surgeon case manager tells me that they will send Dr. LaSalle's chart notes, and the insurance company will then change it's mind. They get 14 days to change it's mind. In the meantime, my surgery was cancelled. or a better way to say it, postponed until the insurance says yes. In the meantime, I have been directed to eat food. Not go over board, I still need to watch the scale, but I am allowed to eat real food. So it's shakes for two meals and a small meals for 1 time a day. They are thinking February or march.
I joined a gym. The plan is that I will wake up at 5, and Posh for hour and half, then drive to gym and treadmill with Cynthia, get ready for work there. work, and at 6, if I havent' hit 10,000 steps I can either go back to the gym or use the work one. I have after work stuff, like zumba, two nights a week, and I want to start a welcome to Posh Night at a local Starbucks. and then it would home to pack for the next day, and sleep, hopefully turning the brain off by 9.
