DH and an update

Friday, January 12, 2018

I thought I should post an update on DH before the weekend.
He had a narrowed artery that the Doctor did not want to add
another stent to the two already in place so he used a balloon
to stretch that one. There was another artery that needed a
stent so that was placed. DH now has 6 stents and thinks that
is a record. Uh, no. I know a man who has 28 stents so he has
a few more to go. I am not encouraging this right now. Be content
that it isn't worse and don't make everything about you.
That may sound a little cold-hearted but this constant drama that
the world should revolve around him gets old and I try to tune out
the best I can. I encourage him to look at the bright side and he
points out that "Pollyanna" should just go sit in her chair.
Well, I would love to but I still have to work, make meals, do dishes
and laundry and clean the house. Most of that does not involve sitting.
Now that I have had my little rant, I will get back to work.
Have a Sparktacular Friday! HUGS!

Men are the worse when they are sick, we love them, but sometimes....

I remember seeing Hayley Mills play Pollyanna -- she was one cute little girl! Keep your positive attitude -- someone has to be the ray of sunshine! emoticon

I have often said there should be a land that we should be able to send our husbands to... The world can't revolve around your DH because it revolves around my DH and his cold. I swear if I hear him groan one more time I am going to shove is ginormous box of Kleenex in his mouth. And that was my rant.

So glad he is doing okay but you need a bit of a break too. You are pushing it with work and going to the hospital, sitting with your DH. I hope you can rest some this weekend. Reward yourself with one of your favorite things. You have earn it. I do hope DH does well and is home soon.

Well, I'm glad that it wasn't worse. People react in different ways when they're afraid, or self absorbed for any reason, I think. It does get tiresome though. Glad that you have your job and chores to distract you. emoticon

Happy that DH was treated successfully but he is no where near the record, we had a resident in our community who had over 40!!! He has since passed away-not from his heart but cancer. A lot of his issues were caused by his poor diet, no exercise and lack of trying eat even halfway as he should have.

You have many of us who can commiserate with you. Amazing how our men retire and think that means sit on their keister and do nothing!! Keep on keeping on my friend. Women Rock, we are strong!

Glad it could be treated without open heart surgery. Agree with most here; men are so whiney when they are sick. Rant here. . . You have to get things off your chest too. This was, and is, stressful on you, too!

Hey Lady - Rant all you want! We are here and hear you loud and clear. Doubt anyone reading this isn't shaking their head in agreement and maybe laughing because we have all been in your shoes. Just take care of yourself, it isn't being selfish...believe me.

Men really do believe that it's a man's world. That is so old school and they can't wrap their tiny brains around that.

Oh you are preaching to a very large choir, I AM SURE! But keep being YOU. Don't let that negativity become yours. I am so very glad you vented. You you have it out of your system. Probably the most difficult lesson I have had to learn between caring for my parents and my family is: the only one I can control is me. So . . . gonna do that!

HUGS HUGS HUGS and wishes for less drama for you!

I hear ya, sister! My DH is an retire so I have to wade through the negativity and woe is me all the time. We just suck it up and go on with the big girl in place! At least mine does cook and sometimes washes dishes or folds some laundry!! Hang in there. You aren’t alone!
