My Future Running Buddy

So we inherited another dog recently. Chelsea.... Chelsea is no Chocolate (officially named by my daughter Chocolate Milkshake).

Chocolates 11 and I have had her since I had my previous life.

Back in the beginning we'd lounge on the sofa together and cuddle while we watched TV When I first got Chocolate, she was puppy. Then I became more active. I stopped watching TV (that's right, I watch ZERO TV)

She was my running companion until just a few years ago. She listens to all the standard commands. I ask her to stay, she stays. I tell he to sit and she sits. She howls something that sounds like "I love you" when I walk in the door. She will give me five and jump up on me when I say "hug". She is a good girl. Currently, she is back to being my snuggle companion. I think she has arthritis. She still has puppy like moments, but she is kind of an old girl. Chelsea is six. She might understand "come". She is super cute, but I have a lot of work to do with Chelsea.
I haven't taken Chelsea out for a run yet because I can't run at the moment, but I am really hoping she makes a good running buddy. She's fast. I miss when Chocolate would go running with me. Choco will do short walks only currently. If I take her for anything more than a few miles, she finds a shady tree, lays down, and refuses to get up. It will be fun to have a dog to run with again.
