New Heart Diagnosis

Monday, January 08, 2018

Finally after 12 years of questions. 3 cardiologists, and lots of $$ spent later, I've been told that I am having SVT runs. So diagnosed with palpitations along with PSVT. I knew there had to be a vagal connection all these years.

Now I have to figure out how to live with it. I'm already on two permanent medications that I'm supposed to time appropriately. Now I'm adding this to the mix. Not sure how to work that one out yet. I probably need the beta blockers because I have such a sensitive heart but I hate that now I'm going to be on permanent med number 3! Ugh!

I had the same thing for years before I developed an arrhythmia with frequent PVCs. At least you know what you have know and they can deal with it.

I don't know anything about any of that - but I'm happy for you that you have a diagnosis that makes sense to you; having a diagnosis is such a relief, I am sure - now you know what you're dealing with, you can work out how to deal with it.

The vagus nerve system is something I am vaguely (no pun intended!) of, I'll go off and read up a bit about this now. Thanks for sharing.

It's been a long and frustrating road you have travelled in order to arrive at this diagnosis. Give it some time and I'm certain you will figure out how to proceed. Best wishes.
