Self Reflection: Hot and Cold

Saturday, January 06, 2018

emoticon Temp wise, yes, but that is not what I am talking about. emoticon

emoticon The last few weeks the scale has been going up. Scary! I had my "reasons" to "explain it", but still...

Upon reflection I see that when the scale goes up and I feel I have had a pretty good week, I start to get discouraged. If the scale continues to go up, and I feel I do not "deserve it" , then It takes alot to continue onward, and the urge to give up grows strong.

emoticon This morning I weighed in at 5 pounds less than last Wednesday. It may or may not hold till Wed weigh in, but all of a sudden I feel that things are working out, my body is cooperating, and I can do this! Alot of power to give to a scale. However, it did motivate me, and I put in a very good workout today.

emoticon a degree, I am cold emoticon and down or hot emoticon and fired up. I have been working on evening things out. I will continue to work on it.

emoticonI am on the journey to a better, healthier me.... some hills and valleys, but with a steady walk and progression. emoticon

The staying on ball is all there is. Every single day we exercise unless, we are exhausted sick or another stressy schedule. It is good to feel how we win on discipline with every fulfilled task. Glad you are doing this with us. Thank you for checking on my activity, too. You did it so many times before. We are in this together.

Great work! I have been having medical issues that cause the up and down also but I think I am on the rebound! Go back to the pool to swim and headed to Refit tonight so we will see. Have an awesome day!

Awareness is key. Good that you're aware of reactions to weigh-ins. Yeah. Don't give your power away to the scale. It can be a good feedback mechanism. But, honestly, sometimes it's quite baffling. Keep making healthy choices. The scale eventually comes around.

Congratulations on the 5 pound loss week-to-week. Stay the course. There will be ups and downs. Keep an eye on the long term trend.
