2018 Goals and 4-month Goals-Set 1
Saturday, January 06, 2018
Hello! I’m glad you have stopped by to read about my goals for this year. I’ve posted them with a short explanation after each one. I’m looking forward to all the great things this year holds.
I’ve also added my first set of 4-month goals. A year tends to be a bit too long for me to stay focused on something, and sometimes a goal doesn’t need such a long time. I used to set “School Year” and “Summer” goals, but that was too disproportionate. The school year was too long, and the summer was too short so I started 4-month goals last year, and it has worked well so far.
1. Attend church at least once a month
I want to go to church more frequently. Sometimes, missing church is out of my control, but there have been a lot of times I could have gone, but decided not to. I want to eliminate those. I started attending a new church in August, and I’ve only been there twice!
2. Pay over $500 on DisLoan
Awhile back, I borrowed some money from the money I had saved to go to Disneyland so I could pay off my credit cards. Now, I’m not paying interest, but I still need to pay my Disneyland fund back. In my current budget, I’ll pay $480 to it this year just by sticking to my budget, but I want to put more than that on it.
3. Read 7+ books
I love to read, but I haven’t spent much time doing it lately. However, I’m already off to a great start on this one. I’ve been reading “A Fairy’s Guide to Disaster” by A. W. Hartoin while I exercise, and I finished it this morning. I did a lot of walking minutes too!
4-month goals-Set 1 (January-April)
1. Watch 2+ movies
There are a lot of movies I want to see such as Tim Burton’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass”, but I rarely make time for them. So, I set it as a goal to make it more important to me so I make the time.
2. Write in GiA (God is Awesome) journal 4+ times
God is awesome, and I like to write down some of the awesome things he does. It helps me to recognize and remember them. Well, I don’t write in it nearly as often as I should. Granted, I can’t write everything, but a few things here and there would be better than totally ignoring my GiA journal like I have been.
3. Post on Beading Buddies Utah’s Instagram and Facebook 3+ times each
Beading Buddies Utah is the small beading business I run with my mom. I have followers on both platforms that rarely hear from Beading Buddies so I’ve set this goal to remind myself to take the time to post. I might even have a contest, but I haven’t decided on that yet. My biggest hurdle to posting is deciding what to say and how to say it.
Another goal I have is to get a new exercise streak going for more than twenty days.
Those are my goals right now. I hope you enjoyed reading about them. Good luck with all of your goals in 2018!
