A lot of people inspire me. From people here on Spark People like the inspiring IndyGirl! I've been following her since I started SparkPeople and her story is truly amazing. I think the thing that inspires me the most is that she keeps up her hard work, hasn't gained the weight back and continues to work hard to inspire others. People can have success but I believe it's truly an inspiration to use your own success to teach others.

I also find inspiration in the ladies of the group Girls Gone Strong.

To me it is amazing not only how physically strong these women are but also how mentally and emotionally strong they are too! I mean seriously - look at these ladies!

That last picture is Erin Browne - who also wrote her own book! Talk about a triple threat - smart, beautiful, strong - what a combination!

The people of my Crossfit gym inspire me. Women who can deadlift over 300 lbs, men who can deadlift over 500. My close buddy who is over 55 and can do a bar muscle up! A group that just recently did 24 workouts in 24 hours for charitable contributions to our veterans. They are a group that always pushes and always does the absolute best that they can!

So with people like this as my inspiration, imagine my surprise that in the last 24 hours it's become kind of obvious that some people seem to take inspiration from me.

Two separate newer members at Crossfit made comments to me that were really thoughtful. The first pointed out how cut my back is looking, congratulating me on the great results. I laughed it off and told her it may look better than my muscles really are - that I'm certainly not that strong! I should have said thank you. She was later asking me about how often I go to Crossfit and when, and what I do to cross train. At the time it didn't occur to me that maybe she'd like to see similar results so she was laying out a plan.

Another young lady (whom I shared a rack with doing squats on Tuesday) was next to me last night, watching my form as I stacked weights on for my one rep max of my front squat. When I accomplished a new PR she was super excited for me and energetically exclaimed "Wow - you are just so great at squats - I hope I can do that some day!"

As if that wasn't confusing enough for me two close friends have jumped on my goal for January of not hitting the snooze button. Today is the first day they both accomplished it for the first time - and they both plan to continue to follow me, letting me know that they too are trying for the same goal. One even suggested another goal for us to do next month.

I have to say it is completely humbling to know that people care about my progress and see it as something they would like to emulate.

Who inspires you? What inspires you? Have you ever realized that others are inspired by you and been completely surprised by that? Tell me about your inspirations!

Can't begin to name all those who have inspired me. One of the first stories I read on here was from a woman who had gained so much weight she could hardly walk. Her doctor made her realize she would have to change in order to live. She began taking walks, not being able to get to her mailbox. She would walk a little farther each day and in the course of walking farther and longer each day and eating right she lost the weight and is maintaining. If ever I need a lift I read the inspirational stories here on Spark People.

I find all sorts of people here in Spark who inspire & amaze me. So many people have the same issues and challenges. When Iā€™m feeling down or in need of motivation I sit with a tea & just read blogs or stories. Comforting for sure :)
