Perspective is Everything

I decided to do a blog entry since this post will probably be lengthy.
I'm on day 6 post foot surgery. I saw the doctor today and got my bandage changed. I was able to see all four of the incision sites that he needed to perform the four different procedures on my foot. I came into this surgery knowing that there could be a lot of pain. I have been pleasantly surprised and Incredibly thankful that the pain has been little to nothing.
What I wanted to mention today is that we need to realize that sometimes we need to change our perspective, or to do a paradigm shift.
Look it up our journey to a healthier version of ourselves from a different angle some days. I am not able to ride my exercise bike or to go to the gym and get on most of the machines. I am able to sit on my couch and use my dumbbells and do punches and waist twists and side stretches. This may not seem like a lot but it's something and we all know that some movement is better than no movement. So if you're feeling a little down on this 3rd day of January of a new year, pick yourself up and do a paradigm shift, look at your situation from a different angle and then readjust. I've had to readjust how I Get Around My Little House on my little knee scooter. I've had to readjust my caloric intake because I'm not moving as much. I've had to readjust how I sit on the toilet or how I take a shower everyday. Life is full of adjustments and some days we need to readjust multiple times. So get out there get moving plan your meals for today and do what is good for you and make 2018 your year. God bless and happy sparking.
