January 3, 2018 PRACTICE GOOD HEALTH
As we grow older we realize the importance of taking care of our bodies. We may have health issues right now due to some bad choices we made when we were younger. We may have hereditary health problems we have to deal with. The great thing about our bodies is we can start now. We don’t have to just sit back and endure our suffering due to poor health choices or due to any other reason. We can begin today treating our bodies as God’s gifts to us and start today taking better care of them.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.”(NLT)
1. Write what better health changes you can make.
2. List the things you need to stop doing to your body.
3. Know your body is God’s temple and a gift from Him.
4. Pray for daily strength to make better decisions to practice good health.
Dear Lord, remind us today to practice taking better care of our bodies. We know in the past we have probably done some things that were harmful to them. We know in the past we have possible treated them in ways that could cause damage to them. Help us to begin today treating our bodies as Your Holy temple. We want to live in obedience to You by treating our bodies as You call us to do. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
We are to treat our bodies as God’s precious gift to us.
Whatever we have done to our bodies in the past, we can start brand new today making better health decisions.
Practicing good health will give us the energy and strength to do God’s will.
When we take time to take care of our bodies, we will be living in obedience to God.
We will definitely see and feel a difference in our bodies when we choose to take better care of them.
Daniel 1:15 “At the end of the ten days, Daniel and his three friends looked healthier and better nourished than the young men who had been eating the food assigned by the king.” (NLT)
God wants us to take care of our bodies by putting good things into them and remembering our bodies are gifts from God.
