Using what I have learned

The fun part of growing is being able to look around and know that you are doing what you know....and it is working. I know that I could write a diet book or an exercise program or a motivational platform -- I have studied this field for so long and I doubt I am alone. How many times have I said "I know I shouldn't do this" or "I know this is a mistake" or "I should be doing (whatever) instead of (whatever)."
Success comes when we do what we know and it feels natural. Today I packed a snack and water bottles in the car. I had so many errands to run and surprise, they didn't all go as planned. My schedule was off and I got hungry -- I had my snack. I was thirsty and I didn't have to stop at a fast food place to get my unsweet tea. I just opened my water bottle
My husband called and asked what I could have for dinner -- I had planned ahead and cooked veggies last night so I didn't have to stop at the grocery store and he knew how my meat had to be cooked so he did that. Protocol dinner that easy because I planned ahead.
Thank goodness I walked this morning because it wouldn't have happened this afternoon. Thank goodness I didn't give into my RA flare-up -- walking doesn't bother my hands anyway.
It is just nice to know that I am taking care of myself and doing what I know needs to be done. Gently and lovingly. Tomorrow might not work out as well, but guess what? The more days I have that work in this way put me on the path to success. Not everyday will be perfect and that is okay too.
I have the tools and I used them today.
