all things considered, not a bad beck week. made it through the holidays without weight gain, and after friday's "hunger is not an emergency," even weight loss. i've slipped up on tracking the last day or so, and the scale tells me that it really was no ok to pull out the hummus and crackers before dinner and then eat dinner too. good reminder, with molokai sunsets ahead.
still, i remembered to:
- eat sitting down, slowly and mindfully
- plan meals each morning
- track most days
- exercise - as much as possible, given the house full of people, still did the video most days, slightly short on the goal of 15,000 steps daily, but given the house full, the work, and the snow - not bad
- credit. a tough busy week, survived.
- back on track after the holiday slips
- weighed in daily
yesterday turned into a heavy exercise day. cardio video in the night, but i didn't realize that i would be pushing the snow blower again for the extra 5 inches that fell after we cleared on friday afternoon. somehow the fitbit charge interprets snow blowing as bicycling! and records it as an activity. after spending the day trying to set up a new (my old) laptop for DH, and all the frustration of one step forward, two steps back, we decided we had to go snowshoeing at least once! we have about a foot and a half of snow, fluffy. and down we headed to the river. hard work! but fun. brought the cameras, but cold hands are not fun. looking forward to some beach photos in a week...
meanwhile, we had sunrise and moonrise photos
and claire patiently waiting for her "photo dog" treat
wishing all a happy, healthy, sparkling new year...
