Merry Christmas

Sunday, December 24, 2017

Merry Christmas to all. If you celebrate a different holiday this time of year, I hope it is blessed and wonderful.

My dearest got sent to Wal Mart yesterday. He is a very good natured person - usually!. By the time he got home, his first words were "I'm not shopping for food any more!" I know he will but I understand his sentiments completely. People were on a mission. Carts blocking aisles, people barreling out of aisles not paying any attention on who was there or who they cut off. Did they forget what time of year it is? Did they forget common courtesy that they should have any time of year? YES.

I have to be out of my mind to go to big stores/malls between the middle of November and the second week of January. The last time I went into a mall to get one item, it took me longer to park than it did to get the item. People were not really friendly.

I prefer to go to the little local stores all year. I take my time. People are in better spirits. I keep the spirit of Christmas all year this way. Why not get fantastic gifts with much less hassle?

Today I am snuggled in the house with family. One present will be opened. I started buying a game each year for the whole family to play. My daughter is now carrying on the tradition for her daughter. I will enjoy the day immensely.

God bless us everyone!
