I joined a biking facebook page and one guy posted this today.
I made up a little seasonal ditty as I rode around town on the fatbike today. I call it "Jingle Bikes".
Dashing through the ice, on a Fatboy Specialized
I slowly rode away, my wife just rolled her eyes.
Nobs on pavement hum, making fingers freeze.
Those fat wheels whine to hold my line at twenty five degrees.
Oh, Jingle Bells cold as Hell,
I don't know when to quit.
I'm pretty sure there is no cure,
I'm crazier than #&%@.
Determination reigns as o'er the road I goes,
Cranking up the hills, in fifteen pounds of clothes,
Backpack on my back, lights in grand array,
What fun it is to ride and sing this merry song today!
Oh, Jungle Bells, almost fell,
I guess I'm out of luck,
When it's this cold I ought to fold,
I'm loonier than...... oh never mind.
I know I like to gripe, it's not my finest trait
But same as all the rest, this ride was really great!
There's no bad biking day, there's joy at every turn
Not to mention good fresh air and all the fat I burn.
Oh, Jingle Bells, truth to tell
I'm very glad I went.
I had to smile through every mile,
But now I'm really spent.
