Eagle Scout!!

Thursday, December 07, 2017

We got home and took Heidi for a walk. I had made a quick Dinner which was left-over Venison Stew!! We went to Justin's Boy Scout meeting. We sat and paced in the Gym waiting. Justin had four representatives to make up his Board of Review - The Eagle Scout Project advisor, Justin's Troop Advisor, the Town's Representative and his Cross Country Coach and Biology teacher from High School.

The Board met together separately. Justin's Troop Leader asked him "What makes you deserving of becoming an Eagle Scout?" Without hesitation Justin looked at his leader straight in the eyes and said, "I have worked very hard to become an Eagle Scout and I deserve it." Without hesitation his leader said, "OK you are ready - let's go". Off they went. When Justin came out after almost 2 hours he had a red face. We walked up to him with the whole troop congratulating him. Of course this Mom rushed over to him and hugged him.

I remember the days of Justin going to Cub Scout Meetings at the age of 5. Now he is an Eagle Scout!! Where has the time gone!!! WOW!!

This picture is Justin's Troop Leader presenting him with his Eagle Scout Patch.

Have a great night all!! I know I will sleep well :-) !!
