"Just DO it"

Some "never's" are okay:
Never say "I wish" when you really WANT a reasonable goal.
Never face a hurdle letting all the obstacles block out the possibilities for overcoming it.
We are here for different reasons, but the all-encompassing goal of pursuing a healthier lifestyle should be the bond between us all, regardless of location, age, weight or health issues. Bring the right attitude to the right place and ... the goals are attainable (if, remember, they are reasonable) Well, if you're reading this, we are both in the right place for reaching goals!
Here on SP in teams and message boards we refer to goals, problems, frustrations, accomplishments, how-to's and why's. Articles here fill our minds and actions with healthy changes in habits. That is, this happens when we truly use the site. I firmly believe that teams are very useful when following the example of the tools here, and a waste of time when the messages are negative or ignore a person whose post is a request for help or support. So my priority here started and remains using the tools. And in teams, I've "met" MANY wonderful people whose comments, experiences and friendship have enriched me.
People speak of goals. Do you ever think beyond the goal? What does that goal really mean to you, besides the obvious "I'll be healthier" response that should be priority? How will your life then compare to yesterday or today? Envisioning success can be very helpful in moments when we are tempted to give up new habits.
Live for today in a way that you'll feel proud of yourself when reflecting on it tomorrow.
Embrace life, whatever the hurdles may seem to block the path.
And be flexible enough in your thinking to accept that goals change, new goals emerge when we reach first goals, and the unexpected is to be expected.
Pace activity and obligation with a bit of relaxation, laugh at what is funny, smile to those who need to feel someone cares. Do the best to be the healthiest you that you can be at any given time. Life is great when you just reach out and grab onto it wholeheartedly.
Sometimes we just have to look at a difficult hurdle, face it and repeat over and over in our minds as our mantra, "Just DO it"... and the hurdle looks a lot easier to overcome.
