thank you everyone for the birthday wishes!

so... yesterday's comments included a request from strongdawg for the details of the special vegan dinner we had on sunday evening; here it is. we learned about strange ingredients like "urfa bieber" which had nothing to do with justin; the wild mushrooms were picked last week, and the huckleberries were foraged and frozen earlier in the fall. there was a choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic pairing; the wine added up to about two to two and a half glasses. and the desert came with a birthday candle - about six of us were celebrating birthdays!:

yesterday was the birthday itself, spent with lots of walking, simpler meals, and yes. i had my lovely massage. all of it was dedicated to some shoulder issues i have been having since august, caused, no doubt, by my computer work. a minor glitch in the day - i had of course misunderstood the time of the dinner reservation. we showed up 5 minutes early for the time i remembered, but we were 25 minutes late.. oh well. lived up to our reputation:-) they couldn't get mad at me because it was my birthday...

we had simpler meals (vegan of course) yesterday, and i snitched (and enjoyed) a few french fries. no snacking during the day (we had bought chocolate pralines after lunch, and one was planned and i briefly pondered a second and realized that i had what i needed, no need for more - thank you beck...).

so exercise and food, though not tracked, added up just fine. we return home today and will have another day in the car and probably not many steps. will be good to be home again!
