... hello fitbit charge 2!
yesterday i blogged about the habits that have gotten me through over 5 years of maintenance. and if there is one tool that has been the most important in these 5 years, it has been my fitbit. together, we have covered 12,615 miles!
i loved my fitbit one... i replaced the holder a few times (sometimes the nice people at fitbit paid for it, sometimes i did), and when i replaced the holder last week i noticed that the fitbit one, cute and unobtrusive as it is, was nowhere to be seen in the current list of products. and i've noticed that it is no longer holding its... charge.
so... after 5 years, and two or three fitbit ones, i realized i had better start looking for a replacement - and yesterday my new fitbit charge 2 arrived. i'll have to get used to something on my wrist; not my favorite, but i'll get used to it. i like the fact that it shows heart rate. and if i wear it when i sleep, it should show me.. something, though i haven't figured out what.
edited to add - another addition to the toolbox in november was jessica smith's 30 day weight loss program - not only did it seem to make a difference with the weight loss, but i am sure it made a difference with the one (!) time we managed to go running last month. today i am starting the game 6 week transformation program, which i did two years ago. we'll see where i am in 6 weeks!
and meanwhile, it is december... and friday, too! blink! fridays keep happening. and november ended with a big hoorah from the scale - for the first time, i saw the number FIVE!! 105.8 to be precise; on oct. 31 my weight was 107 when the beck trek started. on sept 30 it was 110.5.
that's it, 5 lbs - boom! the beck trek reminded me yes i do care, and it will matter.
one last look at fall...
these apples are wearing a cloak of snow now.
