Smoothie Hit

I love smoothies, but sometimes making one can be a miss. Today’s smoothie was definitely a hit. It was inspired by an article I read yesterday about the health benefits of frozen lemons. So this morning, after a wonderful 7.2 mi run and a 30 minute yoga session, I made a smoothie that really refreshed me.
3 cups watermelon
1 Apple
2 medium beetroots, peeled
8 dates
1 cup water
2 tablespoons chia seeds
Half frozen lemon, with peel

Grate frozen lemon, add to the rest of the ingredients and blend. You can add the juice of 1 lime but the smoothie is still awesome even without the lime. Enjoy and thank me later.
