It's Relative

Monday, November 20, 2017

As Thanksgiving is around the corner, I want to give thanks for where I am at this moment. I am mobile and relatively healthy. I am recovering from an injury, but that injury could be worse. I am heavier than I've been in long time, but it is NOWHERE near the heaviest I've been.
I was telling a good friend recently that when you're 340 pounds and you hit 250, you're kind of like "wow! I look good," but when you're 150 and up to 200, you feel bad. It's relative. I remember feeling horrible fat when I couldn't zip my size 2's anymore... and here I am in a 14/16. I need to appreciate and give thanks for where I am at. 14/16 is not size 30/32. Size 4 was still tiny, I don't know what I was thinking.
Even though my weight is up, since I've started water jogging, I am feeling stronger and more energetic. I'll get there, to the sweet spot again, but I am fine the way I am. I am thankful to be here. I am here now, and here is not so bad.

    I love your positive attitude!
I had the though pictured in the cartoon so many times...
Being at ideal weight is just one of the many advantages of healthy lifestyle.
But you can have all the rest during your journey: good mood, strong muscles, good balance and coordination, adequate sleep, just to mention a few.

That cartoon is so funny! And it is all relative. When I was losing weight getting in to a size 16 was a WOW! moment....however years ago when I was in a size 10 and then went up in size I was distraught over the size 12, then 14, then 16....and you know where this is going.

sounds like you are doing all the right things and hope you will soon be completely recovered from your injury. Water jogging is great.
