Dr. Visit for Yearly Exam

Thursday, November 16, 2017

Well six months has passed and it’s time for my yearly check up. That is what I did today! We went over my labs she was absolutely pleased with all of them except my sodium it is way too low. She wants me to put more salt on my food and I don’t even like salt. But I will continue ahead. She was so proud of my weight loss and I asked her how much more she thought I should lose? Answer now is a good stopping spot. I would like to lose six more pounds just to have leeway. I’m very pleased with myself she is extremely pleased with my progress. Tells me to keep doing what I’m doing. However, she wants me to eat every two hours. The reason for that is about a week and a half ago I believe I had a sugar crash. Ended up in th ER so now I have to eat more protein at different points of the day. So wish me luck Friends that I can do it as I hate The thought of eating so many snacks I’m just not a snack eater anymore. She said I could join the gym for strengthening exercises. I will start next week.

Hello and Congratulations! 👏🏻🎉 This really is success. I wished I didn’t like salt.. Both I and my husband like salt and we shouldn’t (high BP). Snack don’t need to be unhealthy we just associate it this way / I do. For all the caloric bars chocolate and nuts etc deliver sugar in some form. A small piece fruit with white non fat jogurt and few almonds I often have. Or WASA crisp bread it’s full grain with half of a small avocado. Such stuff. Healthy snacking is difficult for me personally when I don’t exercise regularly. Eating protein and low carb diet with weights exercises helps my husband with diabetes2. I am sure you do everything right in the meantime.
Thanks for the SP- friendship. We can do it!

About 20 years ago DH (dear husband) came home from the doctor's office and told me not to add salt to ANY of our food. Recently he was in the hospital and they gave him two giant salt tablets a day because he was low on salt. Crazy.

    Thanks for the goodie!

Congratulations on the good lab work and the weight loss! I wish you the best of luck on learning how to eat every two hours. Remember, it doesn't have to be snack food, it can be healthy foods that you eat.

Good luck and congrats! I had a lifetime of sugar crashes (embarrassing at times). My doctor put me onto Dr. Bernstein's work in controlling blood sugars. I changed my diet and the crashes have disappeared.
