"You’ll never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine." ~ John C. Maxwell

~ Today's Mantra from I AM Mantra (find them on twitter at @iammantra )
"It is impossible to feel good and at the same time be having negative thoughts. If you are feeling good, it is because you are thinking good thoughts. You see, you can have whatever you want in your life, no limits. But there’s one catch: You have to feel good. And when you think about it, isn’t that all you ever want? The law is indeed perfect."
~ From "The Secret" Calendar
All of these amazing quotes, mantras and thoughts have been finding their way to me the last 24 hours. Some are ones from old memories (thank you facebook) that I'd forgotten all about, others are new discoveries at just the right time.
Today did not quite go as I'd hoped, but I did get some strength training in on my arms. I am determined to tone my triceps, I'm tired of the flabby arm, bat wings, etc. or as my Gram called hers "bye-bye arm" because it waves more than your hand!
Yesterday was doctors all day - my rheumatologist appointment was first. My blood work all looks good so I'm set for the next 3 months. From there it was off to the PCP for hubby to get checked for strep throat that we found out is going around the middle school. His rapid test came back negative but when Doc looked at his throat it was red and a few white spots so she did another test to be sent out to a lab and prescribed him antibiotics in the mean time. His antibiotics have made him very sleepy today. My tummy wasn't doing so well today. I ended up being mostly a stay in bed & rest day. Not what I wanted to do, but what was needed to be done.
I did, however, get my measurements retaken yesterday before all the running around. Now, my last measurements were from July 2016. I'm a little surprised at some of the differences, especially considering my weight has gone up. I digress, here are my measurements (and July's):
Weight: 278.5 (269.5 - up 9 pounds)
Neck: 16 inches (17 - down 1 inch)
Right Arm: 17.5 inches (17 - up 0.5)
Left Arm: 17 inches (same)
Bust: 52.5 inches (52 - up 0.5)
Under Bust: 45 inches (same)
Waist: 45 inches (47 - down 2)
Hips: 51.5 inches (52 - down 0.5)
Waist-to-Hip Ratio: 0.873 (0.903 - down 0.03)
Right Thigh:27 inches (28 - down 1)
Left Thigh: 27 inches (28 - down 1)
Right Calf: 16 inches (17 - down 1)
Left Calf: 16 inches (17 - down 1)
Either my measurements are the same or actually down, yet my weight is up. I'm the heaviest I have ever been. I do not like it. It is changing for the better now every single day. I'm making the smart choices again. This past week I've had nothing but water to drink - okay, I had some Mountain Dew when I was dragging bad on Thursday, but everything else has been water. My skin is already showing a bit of a difference. I'm looking forward to the rest of the positive changes I know are on their way.
I am doing the same things I did back in 2011/2012 when I lost the most weight; I did it then and I can do it again now. It's even more important now.
Okay SparkFriends, my energy has been lagging all day today and I'm starting to fall asleep at the keyboard again so off to bed I go. It's currently a bit after 10 PM for me so I can still get a decent night of sleep in.
Love & Light To You All.
