ER, Blood Pressure and a scheduled Biopsy

Friday, November 10, 2017

Well I find it rather amusing (or not) 3 years later I'm back with the same issue as my last blog post. This past weekend I went to the ER because I thought I was having a heart attack. What it wound up being is my blood pressure was extremely elevated.

One Nitro pill, multiple tests, fluids and 5 hours later my BP was under control for now. Think the pain is from a pulled muscle in my shoulders and a possible pinched nerve. The Doctor prescribed a muscle relaxant and some ibuprofen for now until I follow-up with "my" Primary Care Doctor.

Well seeing as how I haven't had a physical in 3 years I had to find one first. Done and appointment is scheduled for later this month.

The "positive/negative" of going to the ER and being X-Rayed and Scanned is my heart is fine. My left breast not so much. The scan showed a spot that needed additional follow-up.

Well today I had a diagnostic mammogram and an ultrasound. Since I'm behind on my mammograms also they aren't sure if it's something that's been there a while or it's something to be worried about.

So next up for me is a ultrasound guided biopsy next week, BP Meds for sure and a Big wake-up call that it's way past time to get it together.
