In my last blog I had posted that I was planning to go to the gym on the first as a birthday gift to myself. Well it never happened. We were up late Halloween night and we slept in, till 10 I think. We were tired all day. Im thinking it was because it was so cold Tuesday night that our bodies just wanted to stay at rest. On top of that we had City BBQ for my B-day dinner and we ate too much meat and their yummy potato salad.
I cant remember what we did the next 3 days. I just remember rain and being tired.
Sunday it was nice out. Like open your windows nice. I go out and start putting away all the halloween decorations. About 10 minutes in I start to bend over to pick something up and there was this pain in the side of my back. This is the only way my back seems to go out on me. Never when Im lifting something big. Only when Im doing something small. I had to walk in the house with my hands on my knees. I was hurting. That night I was trying to get up to go to the bathroom and I was stuck on my back. I finally got on the floor, on my knees, but I couldnt bring myself up onto my feet. I was crying. After about 20/30 minutes of fighting, I finally got up. It was also hard to just sit on the toilet. Monday I was still hurting. Tuesday it was just a lot of stiff muscles. No more nerve pain. Today I can stand up straight. Ive got about a softball size knot in the side of my back and if I stand to long my thighs start to get tight.
Its been hard this week because I take care of my grandma. Ive had to have my cousin and my mom come over to help my aunt get my grandma onto the toilet. Yesterday I was able to get back to helping her. Im still babying myself. Dont want to re-hurt myself.
Once all the pain is gone I plan to just stretch for about a week before I start my exercise plan. And when I start that plan Im going to do very little and work my way up.
This is just more motivation for me to get healthy and work hard on my body to make it strong.
