Picking up the pieces and starting over...

I'm not proud of it, but I can openly admit I'm officially a slacker... It started slowly going from exercising daily gradually down to only about 1-2 days per week.

Having survived both being in an auto accident involving a semi-truck and stage 4 Cancer, I know I am a fighter... Not a quitter. Quitting was and never is an option.

Last month @ work, everyone received word from HR that the company was switching insurance companies effective November 1st. Everyone had to sit through the annual informational meeting.

It was during that meeting that I was informed that my new insurance plan includes a free 52-week weight loss program, in which participants receive a box of all the necessary tools to aid in the weight loss process. During the course of 52-weeks all participants work with a team of coaches online weekly (1 session per week) discussing a wide range of health related informational topics.

Needless to say, I was ecstatic hearing about the program... It was the motivation I had been looking for to pick up the pieces and start over. But, the online nutrition & fitness trackers provided by the program were lacking.

Thus, I returned to my starting point original starting point... SparkPeople. The starting point that led me to lose 35 lbs. all those years ago.

It is my hope that between the insurance company's weight loss program & SparkPeople, I am able to stick with it this time creating a new, healthy lifestyle.
