So Over It Already

Thursday, November 02, 2017

One of my constant wishes is for me to have time to get some paperwork done. Paperwork is like laundry: turn out the lights and it reproduces. Well...it's been almost a month since my toe surgery. So, here's my chance to catch up. It seems there's more than I thought or I have lost some motivation because sitting doing paperwork is one of the few things I can do.

I sit here looking at all the housework that needs to be done. We will be moving in a matter of days. Not much has been packed. When I put my surgery off to enjoy the summer, this was not in the plans. But, it has caused Sherry to realize how much housework that I do each and every week.

I can't help but be reminded to be careful what I wish for. All the times that I did wish I had the chance to sit...and all I want now is to be able to walk. I don't go back to the doctor until the end of the month. I'm not sure if the cast will come off or not. I do hope so.

At least this gives me the chance to contemplate, to write letters, to call those whom I haven't spoken with in a while. But I am so over having time to sit around.
