November 2017 and the Old Days Too

Wow. Just wow.

I just logged back into Sparkpeople after a few months of forgetting all about Sparkpeople and its good, helpful content. I also forgot about the past blogs I've written and left here.

As I read back through my blogs, posts and comments, I realized I've been on this get fit and healthy journey for a really long time. I have had major wins and setbacks along the way. But, quite possibly, I've had my biggest win this past year. I have gone from needing to lose 126 pounds to needing to lose just another 60- 70 pounds! And, I'm still struggling with the whole thing! But, I'm still winning at this round!

The reality of my being fat is not just because I've ate too much. It's also due to the fact I've not moved enough and I've worried about life more than living it.

I have made some positive changes, but every now and then, I almost give in to the evil that breeds fatness.

There is no magic potion or pill or program that will make you lose the weight and keep it off for life. There are plenty of people who claim they have the very thing you need, but don't believe them, they are lying to you. While it's true, there are products that can lessen your appetite and workouts that can blast your muscles into quite the 'no pain no gain' status of yesteryear, and eating plans that can help you drop a few pounds- none of them will work if you don't!

To get to where you want to be takes hard work, commitment and responsibility to get there. You need to hold yourself accountable because you are the only one holding yourself back.
