October has been one of the busiest and grief stricken months. We lost 4 loved ones, my grandmother, one of my cousins, my Uncle/Godfather and one of our closest and dearest friends, who was like a brother to me and my husband. My medication went up, my pains are still noticeable and I am glad this month is over. This month really pushed my family to the limits, that's for sure. BUT on a high note, my glucose numbers are starting to look better, I lost an additional pound and we got good news about our financial status. Things are sure to take a turn now for the better. That I am happy with.
For Halloween, I made two of my kids' costumes. One wanted to be Moana and the other wanted to be Cleo De Nile (Monster High) for Halloween. So those costumes where made by scratch. Moana costume was fairly easy but the Cleo one gave me a run for my money. I am not a seamstress by any means, but I think I did a pretty good job. My other two kids made life easy on me and decided to go with costumes we already had used in the past. My son wanted to be the Grim Reaper and the baby wanted to be Minnie Mouse. So that was easy. It's suppose to be cold tonight, so I am hoping we can get this show on the road early and get the tricking o' treating done early before the bitter cold settles. Either way, I think my kids will have a great night. I can't wait to see them all dressed up.
