My rash is a little bit better. The NP wasn't exactly sure what it is either: reaction to medicines, shingles or heat rash. We're going with heat rash as it seems to be the best match. My medicine was still changed just to be safe.
I was out when the first cast was put on so I got the standard white one that felt like it weighed at least 5 pounds. I got to pick this time: purple to cheer me up. Has anyone seen the commercial where the ladies older that 40 dye part of their hair purple to go to their class reunion? (one of class colors) Loved their attitude!
Four more weeks of wheeling around on the leg caddy wasn't exactly what I wanted to hear. Four more weeks of sponge baths so the cast doesn't get wet. I'm better at it, but it sure is not the easiest thing to do. Luckily, there's family around to ask if I smell. I sure will enjoy that first bath! It reminds me of my first shower after having my girls. Boy, was that heaven!
I am a little better with the caddy. There's still rooms that I don't fit into gracefully with the caddy. But I did enjoy the looks on people's faces as my significant other pushed me from the parking lot into the doctor's office. Just call me speed racer!
The weather has taken a turn for fall. Today was beautiful: sunny and 70. Another cold front is coming through and I will probably get my thermals out. I feel more confident about taking the caddy outside and look forward to getting out and going for a "walk" or should I say "ride". But I will wait until the temperatures are more on the normal side.
I believe I accidentally picked the best time to be out of commission, My daughter will be moving soon. Sorry - I can't help.
