It has been a busy month of celebrating with more to go. The 14th we had a wedding and reception. It was done in a gazebo with the reception in the barn near by. Lots of good food. We brought home an Amish donut to share and a few cookies -- no bakes especially for my DH. The next day was a special luncheon for our Pastor after Sunday service. Then the 18th, we had coffee and donuts at the local Senior Center with friends. Some left, then three of us had lunch there. Two dollars a meal for seniors. Nice! Then Friday, the 20th, we had coffee and donuts (homemade) with family. My five brothers, two wives and DH and I. Always nice to get together with the bros.
Then yesterday, another reception. That couple went to the JP a while back and had the family reception yesterday. Lots, and lots of sweets! A catered meal of stuffed chicken, potatoes, gravy, corn and a simple salad with oil and vinegar. It was about an hour away. Was so tired this morning!
So, today I am relaxing after church. Simple meal, some tea, and some blogging. Have a baby shower at the end of the week -- Saturday. Then Sunday is my daughter's birthday. She and her family have been ill with a virus. They missed the reception yesterday and the kids have been unable to get their school work done. It is a terrible coughing virus!. I saw on the internet that a 'coughing' virus swept through England Dec. '16 an Jan. '17.
Cooler weather coming this week and possibly some rain. I have quite a bit of sewing to get done, so I wasn't going to be outside anyway.
Have a great week, Spark Friends!
