The House is Starting To Look Great!

My current project (a monumental undertaking) is to get rid of clutter and unused items. After that, I organized everything in our house. The whole process has taken me five months so far. The results are simply amazing! Over the next few days, I will work on cleaning out the pantry, washing the front windows, hanging the freshly washed curtains and boxing up a few more items.
Then, on to the garage! We have several old plastic storage tubs that have split. I plan to go through them, toss the damaged/unwanted items and re pack the items we want to keep. Once that is done, we will thoroughly clean the house. The end result will be very satisfying.
Yesterday, we had someone re paint the double front door. The day before, I spent the better part of an hour washing the doors. We get morning sun, which tends to fade the paint over time. It looks beautiful! This week the same guy will wash the windows on the outside and power wash the driveway and sidewalks. We plan to have him paint them over the next two weeks. I will wash the windows on the inside. (I have done them regularly but doing them inside and out will really make them sparkle!) I am also washing the window blinds. I might as well do the whole enchilada, right? Windows, blinds and curtains!
Did I mention that I got a new toy? A new vacuum with lots of suction. I have been having a ball vacuuming spaces that I thought were already clean and I've gotten tons of extra dust! I've always liked both vacuuming and mowing the lawn. I think it may have something to do with the instant satisfaction I get when I see results quickly. I know that the results will look good. Yes I know that may sound obsessive but the results are that the house looks nice and smells clean. Goals met!
