Fridge

Tuesday, October 17, 2017

Do you know there are some good things about your fridge breaking down? Okay, I am trying to look on the bright side of things.
Well it is much easier to clean. You have to take everything out anyway and put somewhere else. I have 1/3 in a cooler and 1/3 in my mom's fridge. Where is the other 1/3? The trash! Yes there were things in the fridge everyone had ignored and went bad or outdated by a lot. It's amazing how time flies since the last time I've used some of these items. Thankfully I know my memory and write the date on container when I opened it. I didn't even have to google how long they are good for after opened. I know they are past their prime and secondary life too.
I didn't have to worry about how long I had fridge open while I washed the shelves--another plus.
After calling many repairmen on Monday, we finally found someone who can come tomorrow . There were a few who gave us a date 10 days down the road. Tuesday is usually my day to cook ahead. No fridge, no cooking ahead.
It probably will help my diet too. Once it is working again I can buy my fruits and veggies and they will be very visible. Nothing else in there. Lol.
Here is hoping my food will be cold and in the sparkling clean fridge tomorrow night.

Is your fridge repaired? I am notorious for ignoring aging food in the fridge. I hope you have a fresh, clean start for fruit and veggie logging in the challenge. emoticon

Well 4 and a half days with no power, Irma took care of this for us. Both fridge and freezer were sparkling when we finished
