Thanks for the anniversary wishes everyone. We had a nice relaxing day and I cooked us food instead eating out. We celebrated with one piece of chocolate pie and worked it into the calorie range for the day !
So now new week about to start. I changed and upped the goals for this week and possibly next depending on how I do...
My step count is going up to 5500 since my knee is holding and doing alright during walking. I wear a sleeve for support when needed and have a brace for bad days, but those are no walking days. I am also alternating the walking and riding my recumbent bike. The weather is changing.. supposedly today with a 30 degree temperature drop. It also has some rain in the forecast, hence the walking AND bike riding..
My other goals are to drink the darn water, eat two pieces of fruit daily and get at least 7 hours of sleep. I added gardening or working outside to the fast goals, because the season invites many ways to work in my garden right now. Where most of the vegetables are done and gone. I still have lots of herbs and a new crop of radishes growing. I grow those for the green tops, which I add to salads.
Leaves have started falling and the old oak have and are losing a few branches. So yard clean up is a daily thing, especially with all the acorns. I don't really want that many new trees next year. We found a baby snake yesterday and I am on the look-out for the others. They are rarely born single and hubby told me a clutch of eggs can have easily a dozen or so snakes each time. We caught the momma about 6 weeks ago. Animal control come and got her relocated. We are talking typical Texas what we call rat snake. About a year ago we caught and relocated the male which at the time was near 8 feet long. The momma we caught recently was already about 6 feet. The baby we found last night was about 1 foot and skinny as a rail. We almost didn't see it, but it was going after a gecko and both moved. It got relocated to the woods across the alley behind our house. It can hunt there.
So the goal I added is working outside or in the yard each day. That should give me plenty of sunlight (Vitamin D) and move muscles I am not moving when walking or riding my bike.
