So I have a doctors appointment next week. He wanted me to lose 10 pounds and get my glucose numbers out of the HIGH 200's. I have lost 5 pounds and my numbers are between 134-180 for glucose so far. I have been doing more watchful eye on my carb intake and tried different exercises. Hoping this last week I can get the additional 5 pounds off to show doc I am doing my best. It's been real hard to get that last 5 pounds off. When I start to do so, it bounces right back up, I am watching my diet, so I don't know what is happening. This has been the issue for the past 3-4 months. I really don't know why I keep plateauing. The doctor has seen my menu of foods, through my spark page , and he was satisfied with my food. I definitely know I can not eat bread at all, it spikes my numbers so badly. So that is 100% out of my diet. So, I might just have to take the docs advise and try a trainer. Hopefully they can teach me the right exercise for my body in order to lose weight.

    Sometimes is just takes time for our bodies to readjust to new weight. I don't know what you're eating and I found that when I removed as much processed food as possible, my weight loss ramped up. Of course at the same time I started a more vigorous cardio program and added strength training.

    Great job on the 5lbs lost of that goal, and for lower glucose numbers. It sounds like you are doing a good job and could maybe benefit from talking to a trainer even if just once to get some more input

    Sometimes the answer is increasing the exercise, sometimes the answer is adjusting the nutrition, sometimes it's a combination of both. It would be good if you could get help to figure out what will work for you. In the mearntime, your doing a good job to have lost 5 lbs. and get your sugars down!

    Weights are a great way to burn more calories and help slim down. Best of luck

    Have you tried walking? Walking around your block but having your heart rate up helps. Not a simple stroll because the key is to burn calories. There are many free workouts on SparkPeople TV and also YouTube. I have found them helpful.
