It has been about 3 years since I started with SparkPeople and lost more than 40 pounds.
Although I have had a few pounds jump back on since my all time low, I still have the bulk (if you will excuse the expression) of my weight off. I never really went back to the old weight because I work out every week, take group classes and work with a personal trainer. I am not perfect with my eating, but really who is? The point is I forgive myself and move on, and try to do better next time. Recently, my trainer showed me two photos. One taken after my hip surgery of June 2016 when I was showing her my squat. Honestly, it looks just like I am slightly bent over. The other photo taken just this

week shows me in a very deep squat with perfect form and posture. Sometimes when you are on this journey you are so focused on your goal that you can't recognize the benchmarks of progress on the path. It is so nice to have someone like my trainer and Sparkfriends that cheer and notice the progress.
