Back to normal... but what's normal?

Ok. Yesterday around suppertime my hubby was released to come home. Meanwhile I feel like I am fighting something, with a sore throat. Oh bother. I barely remember yesterday. I made my 5000 plus steps, no idea on much else, but I sat too long at the hospital, I know that. I fell asleep on the couch briefly after supper. Got to bed at midnight, and actually slept 8 and a half hours. Wow. That never happens. Sore throat back today. Even after sinus medicine. Yep. I think I am fighting something. achy. chills. Just what I need.
Hubby is home, feeling ok, head still hurts from shingles. Eating. Taking his meds. resting. I made him a meat loaf with gf eggless ingredients, and it is ground turkey (low fat). I used vegg as the egg substitute, some catsup, some herbs and spices, and gf bread crumbs. Also we split a huge baked potato in two, so it amounted to about two small potatoes.
I am tired. just finished my deskwork for the day, but am so far behind, I have a huge project due Friday. Good thing it is fiction, and an Amish romance, so it will be a fun enjoyable read. Just have to get it done on time, and not get sick.
I did at least 33 minutes of yoga/stretches (pt) this morning, and a quick 10 minutes or so on the wii balance board, and ate a healthy snack this afternoon.
Now, time to go sit on the couch, and aim to go to bed early again tonight.
Normal? Hopefully.

On a super duper positive note - My husband looked at me thoughtfully today and said, I can tell the difference. definitely. Looking at my waist, hips, trimming up below my bustline. That made my day. If only I could find my favorite tape measure.

I need "normal." No more emergencies. At least for a while. Please.
Enough.

I need quiet. a quiet night. a snuggly night with a cat on my lap and hubby at my side.
I am blessed.

One step at a time, One day at a time.
Getting healthy is my job. Need to go get some me time, and rest.

    Hope you get better soon. My go to for a sore throat is a cup of hot tea with 1 T of apple cider vinegar & 1 T of local honey

    Maybe try gargling with warm salt water for the sore throat. I'm glad DH is home and doing well. Feel better soon!

    When I feel something coming on I make a tea using fresh lemon juice, cinnamon and honey, bring water and cannon to boil add honey and lemon juice. Sip on it slowly. It has worked for me.
