It's Only Been 24 Hours...

Yesterday morning, my right big toe was operated on. Arthritis set in and made it very difficult to not only walk but to sleep. The block that the anestheologist gave me can still be felt. I was sent home with crutches and a foot scooter. No weight on the foot for 6 weeks. And I hated the scale when I was weighed.
The bathroom by my bedroom is so difficult to maneuver. So, I must go half way across the house to the half bath. I thought of using Helena's old potty chair, but realized I would have more of a problem trying to get up off it. Helena was so sweet when I came home. When I asked of I could borrow a pillow off her bed, she came back in with two pillows, her favorite blanket, and her absolute favorite stuffed animal. I am amazed that a three-year-old could be so generous and loving.
I am already sleeping about 1/2 an hour to an hour and a half in a stretch. I planned things to do but not one of them appeal to me now. How shall I ever get through the next six weeks?
