Day 6 Since Beginning and Going Strong!
Tuesday, October 10, 2017
Well, I've been doing what I've been told to do since I signed up here six days ago. And, it has been just what I needed to get myself going again. Some of you may have known me as SUPERACHIEVER back in the days but I left SP and have just now come back for encouragement, help, and motivation to get myself going again.
When I left I was in a downward spiral and I knew it was time for me to re-evaluate and get my head back on straight so I left thinking that would be the best thing for me to do at that time. NOPE! Missed the boat on that one! But, honestly, I had bit off more than I could chew and I was beginning to drown in it all. On top of that, my life had gone into a spinning whirlwind that I had to address.
Lost my mother-in-law last April, 2017 to Stage 4 Lung Cancer after a two month stay between the hospital and the nursing home ..... to the day the doctor had stated to us. Involved with cleaning up her affairs and getting her out of her apartment by moving everything over to my house. I just now sent off the last batch of donations to the Cancer Federation Society yesterday and can now work on cleaning that room up as well as the lower level up from this mayhem.
On top of that, my husband was diagnosed with MDS almost a year ago. He was diagnosed the week after Thanksgiving last year so we've been handling that, along with his mom's situation, which didn't help him and his treatment at all. So if there is an MDS group here, you can count me in.
I don't want to be all doom and gloom here cuz that's now what this site is all about. In fact, this site is all about quite the opposite. Positiveness, motivation, support and encouragement. And that's what I need right now.
Would love to find a job as well so it could help out with the finances and bills. We all know what that's all about now don't we?
Ok, having given you a bit of background about me, I can now say how happy I am since I came on board here again six days ago. I am, once again, able to track the food that goes into my mouth and see what I need to do away with and what I need to eat more of. That is a blessing in itself. I can also get myself back onto more aerobic workouts. I've been doing yoga for over two years now due to a severe injury I had from my gym days. I'm glad to report that that injury is just about gone now so I am able to get out and walk again, on a consistent basis, and get myself prepped for my next 5K walk.
Well, I'm going on and on here and I'm sorry for that. Just wanted to fill you in on what led me back here and how SP has already been nothing but a positive resource for me to rely on right now.
Hope I get to see some of my old friends from when I was known as SUPERACHIEVER. I'll look forward to that.
