Chapter 27, Day 2

Monday, October 09, 2017

Making the decision to not snack, was easy. Living it out, is hard, especially in the evening time. My brain is on the prowl, and I find myself doing nothing but thinking of snacks I would like to eat. But the payoff from avoiding snacking is there, as the scale needle is moving downward already. I'll have to hold onto to that thought tonight, when "visions of sugarplums dance through my head."

Yesterday we got 4 generations together, when my 95 year old MIL got to meet my new grand daughter, and her new great grand daughter, Alexandra Belle, who was born last week. It was a sweet moment. DIL took some nice photos of MIL, my DH, our son holding his baby.

I caught DH playing a video of Alexandra 4x yesterday. I got such a charge out of watching DH's tender smiles as he watched it. He's an old softee at heart.

Today DS2s dogs go home. They've been good, but the puppy has kept the house very busy. With all the toys she plays with, you'd think there was a baby in residence. LOL, well I guess technically there is, because puppy is not even 6 months old yet.

I've given my foot a test walk last 2 days, walking the dogs. Now a new day, I'm noticing slight pain from it, but nothing like it was a couple of months ago. I'm guessing I'm about 70% healed, with more needed before I get overly enthusiastic on walking for fitness. It has felt good getting out for a walk in the nice weather. Nevertheless, I will quit while I am ahead, and let the healing process continue. Regrettably....hello, chair exercises.

To snack or not to snack...it is my struggle too! If the number on the scale is going down, you're right on track! Keep it going!!

Oh, yes, snacking at night is a tough one for me. I'm not always as strong as you though.
Such a treat, getting all the generations together like that. And how nice that your DH is enjoying it so.

Take good care of that foot, it just isn't worth rushing the healing.
Nice for you to have the two dogs for a bit, but it's nice when they go home too. Puppies are exhausting!

I just don't "have visions of sugarplum dancing in my head" in the evening, I seem to suffer with them all day. I can eat a good meal and 20 minutes later looking for a snack. Not good, and it about drives me crazy.

Congrats on the scale moving down emoticon
So nice having all the generations together. I sure miss those moments. Alexandra, will be able to watch that video one day too. Nice memory.
Glad you will take care with your foot. Almost there and you will be emoticon pain free.
Have a great day Vicki emoticon

I love these blogs. They are always so happy and full of hope. I know what you mean about watching your DH's response to his granddaughter. I feel the same watching my husband.

Snacking at night is also something I have to watch. I find I have the most trouble when I don't have a satisfying dinner. Hope tonight is snack free for you.
