OA, Bright Line, and Spark - the foundation of my program for health

So I have been watching lots of vids about Dr. Susan Peirce Thompson's concept, bright line eating. Basically, you have to change the way you think about food and cravings. If you consume too much sugar and flour, you consistently raise your blood sugar, and your body sends out insulin. However, when insulin is always floating around at high levels, it inhibits leptin, which would normally tell the brain you are full. Without leptin, you are never satisfied. By recognizing that flour and sugar, the product of refining processes, are nothing more than powdery substances that should be categorized as drugs, like heroin and cocaine and other powdery substances, the addict in you can start healing. You change the way you eat by drawing a bright line around flour and sugar, and you don't cross it, ever. Following the principles of OA, we strive for progress, not perfection; pray to the God of our understanding for serenity, strength, and wisdom; and focus on SELF improvement, by adopting principles like "live and let live" and avoiding people, places, and things.
I have discovered that I am holistically satisfied following these guides as a way of living. I also see sometimes that I can still overeat and/or unintentionally consume too many calories in one sitting by assuming what I am eating is a healthy choice or appropriate portion. I still need my calorie counter, I need to practice mindfulness, I need to be vigilant about being a daily Spark reporter, and I need to tell that little voice in my head to stop making excuses.
