My mornings are pretty busy. I'm up around 5, drop off teen to band by 5:40, then into work. TuesThurs, I work about an hour, swim nearby, back to the office. I teach community college science, so lectures, grading, etc. This morning, I was recording a lecture, ran a little longer than I'd planned when I modified to present things better. So, I was running about 15 mins late to swim. Is it worth it to get over there, swim less time, or should I just stay here and work. Always work to catch up on. I shut that voice down, swam 35 mins instead of 45, skipped my beloved hottub after my swim to get back to .... work. My victory: getting my butt in the pool. Which felt rejuventating. My muscles are happy, my joints and ligaments and nerves are happy. If you wait for life to be perfect, you'll never get anything done. Work with what happens, do what needs doing.
