250 Day Streak - A Self Pep Talk

I've logged into this site every day for 250 days.

Obviously I've made huge progress, right?

Erm.

Not so much.

I've lost roughly 7 pounds in just over 8 months. Not exactly lightning speed here.

I suppose a loss is a loss, granted, but when I stop to look at how slow the scale is moving I can't help but get a little depressed.

But.

A loss is a loss.

Right?

I have healthy habits. I've had to buy new clothes. I can do things now, at almost 40, that I could NEVER have done in my 20s.

I may be a tortoise, but I will win the race.

    you are DEFINITELY winning the race as a tortoise.

    to provide perspective - i remember that we "restarted" around the same time (which i now see was 250 days ago, haha). at the time, i weighed 9 pounds LESS than i weigh today! your consistency has not only helped you to lose weight in that time, but also to avoid gaining!

    That is fantastic! When my weight loss was stalled or going slow I figured that if I hadn't been doing that I would have gained 1, 2 or 10 lbs, so weight loss seemed higher.
    Slow weight loss is good and it sticks!

    Remember numbers on the scale are not the only signs of progress. Way to go on your non-scale accomplishments.
