So I'm trying something new, I've tried several months to get the hang of meal planning. I've had some good weeks but found myself falling into a rut of the same meals over and over. I enjoy cooking but I don't enjoy planning ahead. So I decided to play on my strengths rather than my weaknesses. I'm doing a two week free trial with a website called They have lots of different meal plans you can choose from and they focus on making healthy plans that families can eat at home and that are cost-effective. The meals are delicious and my husband has really enjoyed the variety. So far I love it and plan to buy the year subscription for about $60. I found myself buying a lot more fresh ingredients, having a vegetable with each meal and using fresh herbs in a whole new way. I'm preparing meals faster and my husband has commented that I'm much more relaxed and even enjoying cooking as an adventure. We've been able to eat earlier in the day, which has allowed us to get to bed earlier which is another goal of ours. It has been so much fun and I'm really loving it. I know it's not for everyone but I want people to realize that there are things out there to help as we are learning to cook and plan better healthier meals. I'm sure this is going to help me gain experience and skill in the kitchen. Don't be afraid to try something that's out of the box. Bon app├ętit
