Cara Cara Orange

This blog is going to sound like an advertisement, which, of course, it isn't.
I just want to let the world know about a delicious orange that I discovered a couple of years ago when I was in Arizona.
It is the Cara Cara orange. It is a navel orange that has a reddish fruit inside, and it is the sweetest and best tasting orange I have ever eaten.
Just this week there were some in my local Connecticut supermarket, and I bought some.
There is a website that described the Cara Cara orange as a relatively new hybrid developed from a cross between a Washington orange and a Brazilian orange, and didn't become widely available until the 1980's.
This site recommends growing them in a container pot inside.
There's a thought....
