Shameful...Not prioritizing!

Hi everyone,

I promised that I would blog about my trip. I will tomorrow! I promised to post pictures as well. We have been so busy with doctor's appointments, xrays and ultrasound. We were concerned that my daughter had a tear in her hip flexor. Thank goodness she doesn't. She finally (it seems today) she is pain free and excited to get back on the ice. i am so excited for her. Both children started school and they are happy with their teachers and classes! Woo Hoo!

On another note, I have been eating healthy and exercising consistently. I am cheating a bit by working out with a trainer. I needed to get moving on a more consistent and focused method. The combination seems to be working. I have been getting some positive feedback and I see the changes as well. It's not a fast change but it is consistent change.
A book that I read - The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins. It is very enlightening and really resonates with me. A simple concept to get me to do the work I need to do - that is to finally achieve my goals. I will write about in another blog.

One concept that I keep telling my kids that the author really emphasizes in her book (my 15 year old is reading it too....it is really that good) is that if you wait to feel like doing something, you will never feel like doing it...i.e. wake up early, exercise, work, homework,....you get the idea. We just have to do it. So when you don't feel like exercise, count backwards - 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.....and then get up and do it. So simple, right? Well, it works for me....now I am reading 2 other books to help me to get where i want to be!

So yes, it is shameful, I have not prioritized...my food records, journaling and blogging. It all helps to achieve my goals. I know this sounds crazy, all I want to do is wear a cute pair of shorts without them clinging to my thighs and hips - shorts that flatter me and that I can workout in. I haven't worn workout shorts in decades...2 decades....before I married my hubby!

So, I hope everyone is well and I look forward to catching up with everyone of my friends.
