my reply to my Question Have you tried this

Wednesday, September 20, 2017

I asked the question have you tried any of the copper pans you see on TV........

There are several kinds and types...they all look so fantastic, they take high heat, one even usues an electric mixer in his...I love to cook and bake so I bought 2 of them One was the Gotham steel and one was the copper chef.

this is the Gotham steel one, its smaller than I thought it looked on TV....I was so surprised when I read the instructions that came with it, it cautioned against using sharp tools like forks, it cautioned against using spray oils, like pam, said that ruins the finish.(who knew that), it cautioned about keeling the flame low, said high temps could warp the pan.....but I watched the TV commercial make smore under the broiler in it...

so I bought the cooper Chef pan.... this one was a bit bigger, felt a bit heavier but had the same warnings, no metal tools... emoticon ..cant use my mixer right in the pan like I was on TV

Well pretty much every reason I bought the pans for I can't do.....

I have used them because I have them but they are no better than what I had, I use the Rachael Ray set, have had it for over 15 years.....thank you Rachael Ray..

I say save your money if you think they will be better than what you have.....
the direction that came with one of them say to add a bit of oil to to the pan before you use it....wash with warm soapy water dry the add a light coating of oil , keep the flame down...to me this sounds like a complete opposite of the informercial

so you can tell Im not very impressed my the copper pans...

And I want to repeat this..do not use those spray olis, on my pans, or even baking sheets, they will leave a nasty film that is very hard to remove..and can ruin your pans....

Thanks for listening to me.....have a healthy day..... emoticon
